Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Provide medication counseling to patients in clear, understandable terms
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all patient records
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Coordinate with healthcare providers on prescription orders
- Ensure strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification or equivalent credential
- Minimum 3 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills in English and basic Hawaiian Pidgin
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screening clearance
