Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence strategies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and pharmacy documentation
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required
- 2+ years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding processes
