Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Lead technician team through daily workflow management and task delegation
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and ensure stock availability
- Train new staff on pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) and operational protocols
- Maintain precise patient records and confidential health information per HIPAA standards
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication discrepancies and optimize patient care
- Conduct quality assurance checks on compounded and packaged medications
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- 2+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- PTCB certification or equivalent credentials
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong leadership abilities with team mentoring experience
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
