Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with 100% accuracy
- Lead technician team during peak hours and provide mentorship
- Manage inventory control and automated dispensing systems
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Train new technicians on pharmacy protocols and software
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient data security
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB/ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years experience in retail/hospital pharmacy
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations and sterile compounding
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments
- Basic IV certification preferred
- CPR certification required
