Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with 100% accuracy following state and federal regulations
- Lead inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and controlled substance reconciliation
- Train and mentor pharmacy technician team members on best practices and compliance standards
- Coordinate with pharmacists to resolve medication therapy issues and optimize workflow
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while processing insurance claims and patient information
- Implement quality control measures for compounded medications and sterile preparations
- Manage automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
- Proven leadership experience with staff training and workflow optimization
- Advanced knowledge of sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation
- Expertise in pharmacy inventory systems and controlled substance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills for patient consultations and team coordination
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments with multiple priorities
