Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and examinations
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and inventory management
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Colorado state medical assistant certification required
