Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care lab testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer injections and medications per physician protocols
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals seamlessly
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification and NC MA license (or eligible)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
