Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures, including patient preparation, specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and communication across departments
- Administer medications and treatments under provider supervision
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced emergency situations
- Knowledge of OSHA protocols and infection control standards
