Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Assist physicians with minor procedures and examinations as directed.
  • Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing (POCT) as required.
  • Manage patient intake, including checking patients in, verifying insurance, and updating electronic health records (EHR).
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinic environment.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and manage prescription refills.
  • Provide patient education and answer questions regarding medications and treatments.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is highly preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
