Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately record patient histories and vital signs in EMR systems
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Perform laboratory tests including EKGs and phlebotomy
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a medical office
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
- Valid California driver's license
