Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Accurately document medical histories and patient information in EMR systems
- Perform vital signs measurements and basic laboratory tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and medical equipment
- Coordinate referrals and patient education materials
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- California MA certification (or eligible)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred
