Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and perform phlebotomy
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems
- Manage exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Assist with billing and insurance verification processes
- Perform basic lab tests and point-of-care diagnostics
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA/MA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- BLS certification and up-to-date immunization records
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
