Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation and patient data
- Administer injections and medications as directed by providers
- Schedule appointments, handle billing codes, and process insurance claims
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical office or clinic
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from accredited provider
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently
- North Carolina medical assistant license in good standing
