Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures, taking detailed medical histories and vital signs.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and other medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Coordinate patient appointments, manage front desk duties, and facilitate effective communication between patients and the medical team.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventative care measures.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and medical office technology.
- California State Medical Assistant License is required.
