Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and perform ECGs as directed
- Manage patient records using Epic EHR systems with strict HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Perform vital sign assessments and collect laboratory specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist in inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate degree required
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Illinois medical assistant license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Spanish language proficiency preferred for diverse patient population
