Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and prepare exam rooms efficiently
- Handle electronic health records (EHR) documentation accurately
- Coordinate patient education and discharge instructions
- Administer vaccines and collect lab specimens
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
