Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist in emergency response protocols and crisis management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for holistic patient support
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with current AHA credentials
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field preferred
