Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs assessment and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate patient records in Epic EHR system
- Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic workflow
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Phlebotomy and EKG certification required
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
