Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures, injections, and specimen collection
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow, appointment scheduling, and telehealth communications
- Perform lab tests, EKGs, and point-of-care diagnostics per protocols
- Inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or RMA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy proficiency
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish highly desirable
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-volume environment
- Associate's degree or certificate in Medical Assisting
- Background check and immunization record verification
