Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and patient preparation for examinations
- Assist providers with medical procedures and maintain sterile environments
- Manage patient records using Epic EHR systems with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Collect and process laboratory specimens with strict adherence to protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Nebraska MA license (or eligible for immediate certification)
