Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures, including injections, wound care, and EKGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Schedule appointments, manage inventory, and ensure clinic operations run smoothly
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office
- Strong phlebotomy skills and knowledge of clinical procedures
- Excellent communication abilities and compassion for diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Texas state certification or eligibility
