Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, instruments, and supplies
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals with specialists
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Current CPR certification and state licensure (if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
