Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and vaccinations following clinical protocols
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests with precision
- Manage patient records using EMR systems ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Schedule appointments and handle insurance verification efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume practice
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
