Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure documentation compliance
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification and Louisiana MA license
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure clinical settings
