Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient intake, vital signs measurement, and ECG/EKG procedures
- Assist physicians with examinations, injections, and minor surgical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterile environments and proper inventory
- Facilitate smooth patient flow through efficient scheduling and communication
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialists and external providers
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate patient concerns
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment
