Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy with precision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinic operations efficiency
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Perform basic lab tests and specimen processing
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies
- Support emergency response protocols as needed
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or equivalent experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Texas Medical Assistant certification preferred
