Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain exam rooms
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- New Mexico state license or eligibility
