Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Assist with inventory management and exam room preparation
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Texas state certification required
