Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and injections
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Coordinate patient flow and prepare examination rooms
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling and insurance verification
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
