Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and personal information.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and draw blood as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Explain treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions to patients and families.
- Sanitize and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to strict protocols.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician’s office or clinic setting.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with EHR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
