Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, intake assessments, and prepare patients for examination by the provider.
- Assist providers during clinical procedures, examinations, and treatments with precision and professionalism.
- Manage front office operations, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and processing patient registrations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood samples, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education on medications, post-procedure care, and preventative health measures.
- Collaborate with the nursing and administrative staff to ensure seamless clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting is highly desirable.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and comfort.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
