Responsibilities

  • Perform patient vitals, intake assessments, and prepare patients for examination by the provider.
  • Assist providers during clinical procedures, examinations, and treatments with precision and professionalism.
  • Manage front office operations, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and processing patient registrations.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood samples, and prepare specimens for analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide patient education on medications, post-procedure care, and preventative health measures.
  • Collaborate with the nursing and administrative staff to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting is highly desirable.
