Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients, verify information, and escort them to examination rooms to ensure a smooth check-in process.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Clinical Support: Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with draping, positioning, and hand-holding as needed.
- Procedures: Perform basic clinical procedures such as blood draws (phlebotomy), EKGs, and vaccinations under the supervision of a provider.
- Administrative Duties: Manage medical records, schedule appointments, and handle billing inquiries accurately.
- Inventory: Maintain examination rooms and medical supply inventories to ensure readiness for patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) and computer literacy.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
