Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and prepare examination rooms
- Electronic health records documentation and chart management
- Administer medications under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Medical Assistant certification or national equivalent
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Phlebotomy and EKG certification preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
