Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and maintain accurate medical records using EHR systems
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Coordinate patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain clean, organized clinical environments
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current and valid Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- CA state driver's license and reliable transportation
