Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer injections and medications per physician protocols
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, organized exam rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and manage inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) or graduate from accredited program
- BLS/CPR certification with valid credentials
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Excellent venipuncture and injection skills
- Strong communication skills in English (Spanish bilingual a plus)
