Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital sign checks, EKGs, and patient preparation for examinations
- Assist providers with minor procedures and maintain sterile exam environments
- Accurately document patient information and update electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk operations
- Collect and process lab specimens while adhering to safety protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification and current immunization records
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
