Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer injections, perform ECGs, and collect specimens
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Handle billing, coding, and insurance verification
- Manage inventory and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatments and medications
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA protocols
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Valid Texas driver's license (if traveling between sites)
