Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify demographics, and update medical records accurately.
- Vital Signs & Measurements: Measure and record patient vital signs, height, and weight.
- Clinical Assistance: Prepare patients for examinations, assist providers with procedures, and perform basic EKGs.
- Administrative Support: Handle phone calls, schedule appointments, and process insurance information.
- Lab Duties: Collect and prepare blood samples or other specimens for testing following strict safety protocols.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications and post-care procedures to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Experience: Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and MA certification (CMA/RMA) preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
