Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment before patient visits.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, vaccines, and perform basic phlebotomy.
- Draw blood samples and process lab specimens for testing.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License and reliable transportation.
