Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections per physician orders
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain supplies
- Update electronic medical records and document patient encounters
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work flexible shifts (days, evenings, weekends)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literacy and EMR system experience
- Valid CPR certification
