Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight, height) and record accurate data in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring all instruments and supplies are stocked and sanitized.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians and licensed providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding instructions, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments.
- Handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient registration and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- High school diploma or GED required.
