Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient intake, vital signs measurement, and EKG procedures
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Administer injections, collect specimens, and prepare patients for diagnostic testing
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems and ensure data confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow, manage appointment schedules, and optimize clinic efficiency
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- BLS/CPR certification and current immunization records
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of OSHA protocols and sterile technique standards
