Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy as directed by physicians.
- Greet patients, verify insurance, and prepare them for examinations.
- Assist providers with minor procedures and patient education.
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Document patient interactions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Administer medications and injections under strict supervision.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid California Medical Assistant license.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
