Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs and health assessments accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Manage patient intake, including updating and maintaining Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean environment.
- Coordinate laboratory tests, prescription refills, and specialist referrals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or equivalent medical assistant certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and/or CPR certification.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic setting.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
