Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in our clinical operations, supporting physicians and nurses to ensure the smooth delivery of patient care. You will be the first point of contact for many of our patients, ensuring their experience is welcoming and comfortable.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians during examinations, take vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, update medical records, and handle incoming calls and inquiries efficiently.
- Lab Work: Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
- Medication Management: Prepare medications and assist with medication administration under physician supervision.
- Coordination: Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and facilitate smooth patient flow through the clinic.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient interaction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Compassion: Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
