Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and immunizations under strict physician supervision.
- Perform and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
- Collect and process lab specimens accurately for analysis.
- Manage and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR) efficiently and confidentially.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care and manage appointment scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician practice or clinic setting.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
