Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and collect specimens
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain sterile environments
- Update electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer injections, medications, and perform phlebotomy
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Manage inventory and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
- Coordinate with nursing staff to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Texas state license to practice as a Medical Assistant
