Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with examination rooms and equipment.
- Record patient medical history, vitals, and information into electronic health records (EHR).
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians or nurse practitioners.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Experience working in a clinical or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficient with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
