Responsibilities
- Perform routine medical procedures such as taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately and securely.
- Greet patients, answer phones, and handle front desk duties to ensure excellent patient experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies for patient visits.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations as directed by physicians.
- Provide patient education and health coaching regarding preventive care and wellness.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong computer literacy with experience in EMR/EHR software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
