Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during procedures and administer injections/medications
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
